Connecticut Educational Standards:  Science, Grades 9-12
This WebQuest works best for 10th and 11th graders, and is best taught after students have been introduced to the structure of the atmosphere, including the ozone layer. This activity allows students to gain a greater understanding of the scientific debates currently going on in the world today while using deductive reasoning skills to decide whether or not certain claims in science are truly reputable.

This WebQuest is most effective when students are given a full week to work on the assignment, and working in a computer lab is ideal (though not necessary).  Other than internet access and Microsoft Office (perferably 2007 or later), no additional materials are necessary.
